Life After High School...
After graduating from Novato High School, I hope to attend UCLA. It has been my dream school ever since two of my four siblings began attending it. At UCLA, I hope to choose a major that makes me feel important and can bring a great impact to the world. At this time, I think this may be the biological sciences field. Three common jobs for people who pursue this major include research jobs such as those in genetic technology, healthcare, and teaching. Either path seems equally successful. A searcher associate at Genentech receives a salary of $74,861. A doctor would receive a salary of $233,154. An assistant biological sciences professor would receive $72,670 on average. The salaries change in relation to the geographic locations according to the need of the certain position and the number of qualified personnel for the job. All these jobs require a major in the sciences and to be a medical doctor requires even more years of schooling as you would have to go to medical school for an additional four years. Personalities for people with these jobs include being sociable, responsible, and a diligent worker. This is true because in all these positions, knowledge and working skills are the key to success.

Hi Tania,
ReplyDeleteI'm also interested in attending UCLA! I'm interested in majoring in Psychology - not biology - however, but medical school is a possibility.
i agree with you that being a medical doctor is a lot of years and takes a lot of responsibility and communication but im still working on the communication. nothing is impossible just keep working hard and you will get into UCLA
DeleteGreat post, just remember to clarify what kind of doctor you're talking about since there are many kinds. I agree with all of the skills one must need in order to be successful in the medical field. Not only is intelligence in the question, but being social and reliable are so important as well. Good luck with UCLA! I would absolutely love to go there too but major in neuroscience.
