week 3: after high school
after high school i hope to get admitted to UC Davis. i want to go because of their medical school and also getting a good education, my goal being to help people with no money in the community. the field i would be going into is medical. i think you don't need a specific major to be a doctor. three common jobs for people in the medical field are dentists who earn above $163,000 dollars, a nurse practitioner earns about $89,960 and a pharmacist which earns about $116,670 or more. a job I'm not sure about is a phlebotomist. the salary differs geographically because of how much they need someone and if they are fit for that specific job or it can also be the wealth of the city and population. to be a nurse practitioner you need 6-8 years after high school, for a dentist you would need about the same and for a pharmacist is 8 years. personalities you would need is being social, diligent, and being dedicated. also, being able to work with others and can serve the needs of others. of course being professional and being respectful. and honest as well. most specific i want to be a pediatrician but to be in those jobs you need a lot of patience too.

It seems like you have a really solid plan of what direction you want your life to go. Many students I know still are very unsure of where they want to go for college but having your dream school in mind is a great way to maintain your grades as you have this specific goal you're working towards. You seem like a driven, hard worker. UC Davis is a great school!
