I want to become a medical assistant and yearly I would be making 35,000 yearly and at least 2,400 every month
- The total of my future expenses each year are $60,000. I know this is logical because my primary sources for information are http://m.kiplinger.com/article/spending/T050-C006-S001-cost-of-living-reality-check.html
- According to http://www.indeed.com/salary/q-Medical-Assistant-l-San-Rafael,-CA.htmlI can likely count on making $35,000 if I was working in San Rafael each year in my future job as a medical assistant. My education/training to get that job will cost $500-1000 in each year a total for all 2-3 years of training.
- I want to save $300 for my rainy day fund each year, and $4000 for retirement each year. If I save $4000 for retirement each year, by the time I am 65 years old I will have $260,000 plus interest.
I was under the impression that training to be a medical assistant took about a year, maybe two. This is what the medical assistants at my internship told me but I could be wrong. If that is the case then hurray! Even less training than you thought! Either way good luck with your endeavors!
ReplyDeleteThats a really great plan on saving money for retirement. Good job on thinking ahead. I like how your information is well organized and easy to read.
ReplyDeleteThis is a great career seeing as how you won't need to spend years and years in medical school yet you still are working in a field you are passionate in.
