Goals, Habits & Allies

Goals

Now:
My goal is to make the most out of my internship this summer. I want to be able to see as many departments of the hospital as allowed, and hope to be able to map out how the different departments work together to help care for an individual patient.
Future:
My goals for the future are to raise my GPA enough to make me eligible to apply to UCs that will help set me on a path towards being employed in the medical field as my future career.

Habits

Now:
I currently have the habit of being very organized. I have the tendency to store all important papers in separate folders, all on a shelf, so that if I were to ever need them, I'd know where to find them. It also helps to keep an updated calendar application on my phone. That way, I will get constant reminders of meetings/appointments/classes I have to attend.
Future:
I want to work on my procrastination. There are times when I know I have something to do, I know how to do said task, but it is hard for me to will myself to get up and actually do it. I am very good at getting the task done; it will get done. I  just tend to do it at the last-minute, and know it is something I have to work on to improve.

Allies

Now:
My current allies include my School-to-Career Liaison, Mrs. Horton. She has been very kind and helpful in aiding me to set up this internship. My supervisor, Jean Tuthill, is very patient with me when explaining to me the tasks I need to accomplish, how to successfully accomplish them, and is very supportive when explaining something to me that I have done incorrectly. Another ally includes my mom, who has encouraged me to pursue this internship, and has been willing to drive me to all my meetings, classes, and work days.
Future:
I would like to have an ally that stands as a mentor to me. I would like to have someone in the field I am interested in, there to help me and guide me through what they have already been through (what they did to get into the position they are in today).
